OUR BACKGROUND

Creating new horizons and pushing the boundaries for Indigenous business.

Established in 1995 by Aboriginal businessman Daniel Tucker, Carey Mining is Australia’s leading Indigenous owned mining and civil contractor, providing Crushing & Screening and Civil Earthmoving Services.

Servicing major clients in the industry, the company has long term contracts in place across operational sites throughout the Pilbara and Goldfields regions of Western Australia. These contracts, allow Carey Mining to achieve its vision through meaningful training and employment options for Indigenous people.

Carey Mining brings to CareyMC:

  • Earthmoving & Crushing/Screening experience

  • Access to a fleet of owned earthmoving and associated plant

  • In house Registered Training Organisation (RTO) credentials, providing genuine work participation opportunities for employees wishing to upskill in the industry.

Together, we can provide a complete
Project Management & Construction Delivery
team for our client's infrastructure needs.
OUR BUSINESS

CareyMC has been formed with an aim of pursuing Government and Private Sector construction contracts in our own right; providing project management services and complete infrastructure solutions as opposed to simply supplying onsite support services.

By combining the capabilities and contracting experience of the two partnering entities, CareyMC has the capacity to contract directly with infrastructure owners to deliver entire projects or civil packages and in turn, diversify the employment and training opportunities for current and prospective indigenous employees of the new company. By joining together, the entities behind CareyMC aim to create:

  • A safe and respectful working environment for all employees, regardless of their origins and background

  • A competent and diversified civil construction contractor, able to contract directly with clients and carry out infrastructure projects in their entirety.

  • A team with the in-house capabilities to tender, negotiate, win, manage and deliver earthmoving, foundation and civil/structural construction works.

  • A opportunity for Indigenous Australians to train and work on all aspects of construction, engineering and business/project management, thereby playing an active role in the economy and their own personal development.
